Description
Cardiac Telemetry RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Wilmington, North Carolina
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Floating required as needed, with potential to float every shift
- Ratios: 1:5–6
- Self-scheduling per unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Telemetry experience
- Remote cardiac monitoring experience
- Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization experience
- Pre- and post-cardiac surgery experience
- Sheath removal experience
- Cardiac drip titration experience with Diltiazem and Amiodarone
- Central line care and management experience
- PICC line management experience
- Blood product administration experience
- Accessing ports experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Charge experience
- NIH Stroke Certification
Unit Details
- Cares for cardiac patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac cath diagnoses
- Common therapies/procedures include cardiac drips, sheath pulls, TR bands, and FemStop
Scheduling and Assignment Notes
- RTO after booking is not allowed
- Additional RTO on unit may result in cancellation and DNR status
- Weekend requirement is 5–6 weekend shifts
- Unit orientation is 24 hours
- Navy scrubs required; not provided
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Locals are accepted
- Must interview before offer is finalized
