Description

Radiation Oncology RN

Location

  • Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Job Type

  • Contract
  • 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekday schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Oncology (2 years of experience)
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care and interventions for patients in Radiation Oncology
  • Assist with patient evaluation and examination with the Radiation Oncologist
  • Serve as a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, physicians, and support resources
  • Provide teaching, counseling, and supportive care for patients and families
  • Coordinate referrals for recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services
