Description

Oncology RN

Job Details

  • Location: Harvey, Illinois
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Specialty: Registered Nurse
  • Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois
  • Oncology (1 year of experience)
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Work Expectations

  • Every other weekend
  • Floating required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates accepted
  • Block scheduling not accommodated
  • RTO allowed up to 7 days

Clinical Focus

  • Med-surg RN with oncology experience
  • Infusion clinic setting
  • Administers chemotherapy, supportive medications, hydration, and blood products

Additional Compliance Items

  • Orientation modules must be completed before clearance/start
  • Photo for badge required
  • Physical exam required within 1 year and updated annually
  • Fit mask required within 1 year of start
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap documentation required within 2 business days of signing
  • TB screening or chest X-ray required within 2 business days of signing
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, drug testing, and flu vaccination/documentation requirements apply
  • Religious or medical exemption forms are available for COVID-19 and influenza requirements
