Description

CVOR RN

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract RN role in Akron, Ohio
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • CVOR (1.5 years of experience)
  • CVOR experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NBSTSA
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

  • CVOR experience is preferred

Role Details

  • Scrub open heart and vascular cases, including wired vascular cases

Schedule / Call

  • On-call requirements include weekday call shifts, weekend call rotation, and possible holiday call rotation
  • One working weekend shift every 6 weeks is typically coordinated with weekend call

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • Background check required before start and updated annually
  • Fingerprinting required within 48 hours of signed contract and before start
  • Education verification required
  • Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start
  • Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
  • Physical exam required within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask clearance required within 12 months of start and updated annually
  • Tdap vaccination required every 10 years
  • TB screening required within 12 months of start and updated annually
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation required
  • Standard 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start and updated annually
  • Flu documentation required seasonally
  • Eye exam required within 1 year of start
  • 2 references required from recent employment in healthcare leadership roles
  • Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of acute care clinical practice in a similar area
