Description
Pediatric Dietitian
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Baltimore, Maryland
- 20-week contract
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- First-time travelers accepted
- Floating may be required to another campus until 10/8/26
- Holidays required as scheduled
- Weekends not required
- On-call not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist license in Maryland
- RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (2 years of experience)
- RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist experience within the last year
- Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field, or Bachelor's degree if CDR exam passed prior to 1/1/24, with completion of required coursework and Dietetic Internship
Patient Population / Role Focus
- Pediatric inpatient and outpatient nutrition care
- Complex diagnoses, including GI complications, short gut, TPN patients, post-trauma patients, and infants on tube feeds
- Responsibilities include nutritional assessment, medical nutrition therapy care planning, counseling and education, interdisciplinary rounds, documentation, and coordination with the care team
Schedule Details
- Monday: outpatient clinic work and weight-management assessments
- Tuesday through Friday: inpatient admissions, rounds, follow-up notes, and RD meetings
- Wednesday: group education classes on healthy eating and weight management
Additional Notes
- May cover outpatient programs and nutrition support for a subset of inpatient patients
