Hospice RN Travel/Contract Job
Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Location: Windham, New Hampshire
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Hours: 40 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides and coordinates home nursing care based on physician orders and agency policies.
- Directly supervises and evaluates home health aides and licensed practical/vocational nurses.
- Work includes home visits and periodic office meetings.
- Typical caseload is 5–8 patients per day.
- Territory coverage requires travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- Hospice (1 year of experience)
- Hospice experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Home Health setting
- Experience in Supervisory roles
- Driver's License
- Experience with Homecare Homebase
- Experience with OASIS
Schedule Notes
- Weekend requirement varies by location and profession.
- Typically one weekend per month.
- No on-call requirement listed.
Work Setting
- Hospice setting.
- Scrubs required.
Charting
- Must be proficient with HomeCare HomeBase and have used it within the last 6 months.
- OASIS proficiency is required for RNs who have used OASIS within the last 6 months; otherwise retraining is required.
