Job Overview

  • Schedule: Rotated weekends

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
  • Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • NRP certification
  • PALS certification
  • Experience working with Neonate patients
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 6 months of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start, then updated monthly
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start, then updated monthly
  • State license verification within 30 days of start
  • 14-plate Ishihara color blind exam
  • Unit-specific competency exam within 3 years of start, then every 3 years
  • Core Part I, Core Part II, Core Part III, and OSHA Mandatory training updated annually
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • N95 mask fit testing within 1 year of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB screening within required timeframe
  • TB questionnaire annually
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • 2 professional references, including 1 direct supervisor reference
  • Employment application
  • Unit-specific skills checklist
  • Signed fingernail policy
  • Compliance checklists
  • Online training modules before orientation
  • Badge photo submitted 2 weeks before start

Notes

  • Rotating weekends are required.
  • Night shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
