Radiation Therapist
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Lubbock, Texas
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week
- Patient population is mostly adults, not pediatric patients
- May not float between units
- No on-call, weekend, or 48-hour shifts required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Texas
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- Radiation Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Government-issued photo ID
- Social Security card, as applicable for I-9
- Education verification
- Background check
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Skills checklist for the applicable unit
- Radiation badge requirement is handled by the facility
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance
- Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, flu, COVID, and drug screening documentation
- Respirator safety clearance
Work Conditions and Notes
- Expected ratio: 20 patients to 1 radiation therapist
- Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces
- Bike racks are available
