Description

Home Health RN

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Battle Creek, Michigan
  • Day shift, 5x8 hours
  • 40 guaranteed hours per week
  • Service area includes Calhoun, Kalamazoo, and VanBuren Counties
  • Home health visits: 5–6 per day
  • No call requirement
  • Weekend rotation: every 4th weekend
  • Must be available for the full week of orientation
  • Accepts first-time travelers
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Home Health (1 year of experience)
  • Home Health experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • E-Verify
  • Proof of name change, if applicable
  • Criminal background check within 45 days of start
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • Michigan fingerprinting within 45 days of start
  • Education verification
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit test completed on-site
  • Proof of 1 prior Tdap vaccine
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 30 days of start
  • TB questionnaire
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination
  • 10-panel drug screen including marijuana/THC within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if starting after 11/1
  • One professional reference from a supervisor or manager
  • Complete application/resume with full 7-year work history and no gaps
  • Skills checklist for the applicable unit
  • Code of Conduct review and acknowledgment
  • Appearance Standards Policy review
  • Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment
  • Personal or auto insurance
