Physical Therapist
Location: Haverhill, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temp
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Day: 8
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience in a Long Term Care or Rehabilitation setting
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate, screen, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care
- Develop and adjust plans of care based on patient progress and outcomes
- Perform rehabilitation interventions such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, supportive and assistive devices, and wound care
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
- Communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the supervisor and care team
- Complete discharge summaries and required documentation in the electronic documentation system
- Record treatment minutes accurately
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
- Obtain necessary DME or supplies
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
Practice Expectations
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Follow regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Adhere to APTA, state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
