Description

Travel Surgical Technologist

Overview

  • Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho
  • Setting: Operating Room
  • Schedule: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 3 shifts per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Start date: Must be able to start 10/12 or later
  • Call / weekends: Rotating weekend call every four weeks; call is used to fill evening/night staffing gaps Monday through Thursday

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
  • Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification

Typical Procedures

  • Burn care, including wound debridement, skin grafting, and dressing changes
  • Dental restoration and oral maxillofacial procedures
  • ENT procedures, including tonsil/adenoid surgery, parathyroidectomy, and cochlear implants
  • Gastroenterology procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy
  • Gynecology procedures, including ablations and vaginal/abdominal hysterectomies
  • Neurosurgery, including spinal fusions, discectomy, and craniotomy
  • Open heart procedures, including CABG, fem-pop, and fistulas
  • Ophthalmology procedures, including vitrectomy, cataracts, and corneal transplant
  • Orthopedic procedures, including trauma, total joints, and sports medicine
  • Plastic surgery, including breast augmentation/reconstruction
  • Psychiatry procedures, including electroconvulsive therapy
  • Robotics cases in gynecology, general surgery, and urology
  • Trauma surgery, including damage control resuscitative surgery
  • Urology procedures, including cystoscopy, TURB, TURP, and stents
