Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Minnesota
- Unit: Mother Baby Center
- Shift: 3x12 days or nights
- Hours: 36 per week
- Start times: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Average daily census: 8 deliveries/day; postpartum 15/day
- Teaching hospital; Level II trauma center
- 258 staffed beds
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Post Partum (2 years of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Works every other weekend
- Floats as needed within scope
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Local candidates are not accepted within 100 miles
- RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Criminal background check required within 1 year of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 1 year of start
- HHS/OIG required within 1 year of start
- Minnesota DHS NetStudy questionnaire and fingerprint clearance required
- BCA background check required
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
- Tdap required
- TB screening required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/documentation required
- Respiratory safety clearance required
- Drug screen required
- References required
- Skills checklist required annually
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
- Competency exam required
- Pre-orientation modules must be completed before start
