Description

ER RN Travel Contract

Overview

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse
  • Location: Glen Burnie, Maryland
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 12 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours, 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Schedule notes: Every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled
  • Floating: Required within the specialty, including the ER hold/Obs unit as needed
  • On-call: No pre-scheduled on-call shifts

Clinical Setting

  • High-volume, fast-paced, non-trauma emergency department
  • Patient age range: neonates to geriatrics
  • ER ratio: 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity
  • Hold/Obs ratio: 1:5, up to 6 with lower acuity

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maryland
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • CPI
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers accepted with strong ED experience
  • EMR familiarity with Epic is preferred

Pre-Start Requirements

  • Two supervisory references within 1 year of start
  • Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start
  • Previous 5 years of employment history verification
  • Background check and state exclusion screening required
  • Drug screen required
  • Physical exam required
  • Fit testing required
  • Immunization and health documentation required before start
  • Facility-specific onboarding documents and training modules must be completed before start
