Cath Lab Tech
Job Overview
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First-time travelers accepted

Role Summary
- Must be proficient in both cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures.
- Core responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for procedures such as coronary angiograms, right heart caths, Impella, IABP, pacemaker implants, ablations, and complex ablations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Minnesota
- Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring techniques and complex interventions including CTO, Shockwave, Rotablader, and CSI
- Experience with EP mapping systems including Carto, EnSite, and Affera
- Experience with ECMO management
- Primary source verification of license required
Schedule and Call
- Weekend call rotation: 3–4 weekends per 13-week contract
- Weekday call rotation: 1–2 nights per week
Work Conditions
- No floating within scope to meet facility needs
- No floating to sister facilities
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- RTO ideally no more than 5 days
Facility Details
- Acute care teaching hospital
- Level 3 trauma center
- 317 staffed beds
Compliance and Onboarding
- Criminal background check required within 1 year of start
- DHS clearance required
- Fingerprints must be completed before start
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
- Tdap required
- Negative TB or chest X-ray required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and respiratory safety clearance requirements apply
- Drug testing required
- References are not required for client clearance
- Skills checklist required annually
- Preorientation modules must be completed before clearance
