Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No local candidates
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
- 2 or more years of total travel experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend
Compliance / Onboarding
- Copy of photo ID
- Criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- 2 references
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Annual respirator fit testing
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- 12-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
- System access and confidentiality agreement
- HealthStream training and required return demonstration for glucose testing before performing accuchecks
Vaccination / Exemption Notes
- Influenza vaccination documentation is not required for employment
- Medical and religious exemption requests are available for influenza and COVID requirements, using facility-specific forms when applicable
