Schedule
- Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- 40 hours per week
- Occasional Friday coverage may be requested if needed
- No weekend, holiday, or call requirement
Setting
Outpatient hospital-based infusion center serving oncology patients in a rural community hospital
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Oncology experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of oncology experience
- OCN
- ONS/ONCC
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS
- Infusion experience
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and infusion medications
- Perform IV starts, port access, and central line care
- Operate infusion pumps and monitor infusion therapy
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and changes in condition
- Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and symptom management
- Perform patient assessments, vital signs, and treatment monitoring
- Document care in Cerner
- Coordinate care with oncology providers and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with treatment preparation and chart review
- Support lab orders, treatment verification, and insurance authorization
- Support oncology providers and infusion clinic operations
Preferred Experience
- Outpatient infusion experience
- Port/PICC access experience
- Experience administering chemotherapy
- Experience working in an oncology infusion clinic
