Oncology Infusion RN

Location

Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
  • 40 hours per week
  • Occasional Friday coverage may be requested if needed
  • No weekend, holiday, or call requirement

Setting

Outpatient hospital-based infusion center serving oncology patients in a rural community hospital

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology experience
  • OCN
  • ONS/ONCC
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • Infusion experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and infusion medications
  • Perform IV starts, port access, and central line care
  • Operate infusion pumps and monitor infusion therapy
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and changes in condition
  • Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and symptom management
  • Perform patient assessments, vital signs, and treatment monitoring
  • Document care in Cerner
  • Coordinate care with oncology providers and interdisciplinary team members
  • Assist with treatment preparation and chart review
  • Support lab orders, treatment verification, and insurance authorization
  • Support oncology providers and infusion clinic operations

Preferred Experience

  • Outpatient infusion experience
  • Port/PICC access experience
  • Experience administering chemotherapy
  • Experience working in an oncology infusion clinic
