Pharmacist Inpatient
Job Overview
- Specialty: Pharmacy
- Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Inpatient pharmacy
- Schedule: 5x8 rotating schedule, weekdays with some weekends; every 3rd weekend
- Overnight pattern: 7 nights on, 7 nights off
- Longer assignment options are available through January 9, 2027, but are not required
- Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Virginia
- Pharmacist (1 year of experience)
- Pharmacist experience within the last year
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Experience in an Inpatient setting
- IV admixture/IV pharmacy experience
- Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) experience
- Antibiotic management
- Drug interaction review
- Experience with Epic
Required Skills
- Medication order entry
- Medication order verification
Preferred Experience
- Previous travel experience
- Chemotherapy experience
- Anticoagulation management
- Pharmacokinetic dosing
- Renal dosing
