Cath Lab Tech
Overview
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Freehold, New Jersey
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Hours per week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Jersey
- Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT (R) or RCIS
- 1 year of experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab
- 1 year of experience in Interventional Cardiac Cath lab
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients accurately
- Set up equipment
- Prep access sites
- Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
- Scrub and maintain a sterile field
Schedule Expectations
- Weekday and weekend on-call coverage is required during a 4-week schedule period
Compliance / Pre-Start Items
- RTO is due at time of submission
- Background check must be completed within 30 days of start
- Transcript or diploma is required if schooling was completed outside the U.S.
- References: 2 current references related to the requested position, completed by a supervisor or manager
- Employment application or resume required
- Skills checklist related to the requested position/unit required
- Physical exam or fit-for-work statement completed within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- COVID booster policy must be reviewed before start
- Photo for badge must be passport style
- Time-sensitive facility documents must be completed within 48 hours of signing
- RTLS badge, if issued, costs $37.50 and replacement/non-return also costs $37.50
