Unit Details
- Progressive Care Unit
- 15-bed unit with 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
- Ratios: 1:4 for Progressive Care; 1:3 for Step-down ICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 2 years of experience in a Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit
- Telemetry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Progressive Care experience
- Telemetry experience
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS certification
Clinical Duties
- Primary nursing care
- Telemetry monitoring
- Telemetry strip reading
- Fingerstick blood sugar checks
Equipment / Systems
- Meditech charting
- Pyxis medication system
- BIPAP
- Continuous cardiac monitoring
Floating
- Floats to all acute units in house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
