Respiratory Therapist Contract Job

Overview

  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour day shift
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Employment type: Contractor

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
  • Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
  • Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Experience working with Adult patients
  • Experience working with Geriatric patients
  • Tracheostomy management experience
  • Nitrous oxide procedures experience
  • Proning techniques experience
  • ECMO experience
  • Critical care experience
  • Ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention or management experience
  • Spontaneous breathing trials experience
  • Experience with Epic

Required Experience / Skills

  • Experience with trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, critical care, ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention, spontaneous breathing trials, and ABG draws

Work Setting / Patient Care

  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Patient population includes neonates through geriatric respiratory patients
  • Floating may be required to hospitals within the PSA based on the contract

Schedule

  • Every-other-weekend rotation
  • No on-call requirement
  • Holiday coverage based on needs

Orientation

  • 1 day on the unit

Additional Details

  • Charcoal gray scrubs required
  • Free parking available
  • Plenty of PPE, including N95 availability
