Description

Antepartum RN

Overview

  • Role: Antepartum RN
  • Department: Antepartum core
  • Float scope: Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, Bronson Battle Creek Birthplace, and house for patient sitter needs
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Antepartum experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Antepartum experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam completed within 1 year prior to start with a passing score of at least 80%
  • Competency Exam completed in specialty within 1 year prior to start with a passing score of at least 80%
  • One professional reference from a supervisor or manager
  • Full 7-year work history with no gaps

  • Criminal background check within 45 days of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM
  • HHS/OIG
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 30 days of start
  • TB questionnaire
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B documentation
  • Drug test within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if starting after 11/1

  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
  • Code of Conduct review and acknowledgment required
  • Appearance standards policy review required
  • HepB declination required only if declining the HepB series or titer
  • Vaccine exemption forms are required only if requesting an exemption
