ED Nanticoke - 6132 RN (Registered Nurse)
Overview
- 13-week assignment in Seaford, Delaware
- Night shift
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7p-7:30a
- Weekends required
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Delaware
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Travel experience
Unit Details
- 23-bed ED
- 5 fast track chairs
- 4 preferred behavioral health rooms
- Hall beds
- Standard nurse-to-patient ratio: 4:1
- Critical care ratio: 1:1 or 2:1
Responsibilities
- Care for emergency patients from birth to death, including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, pediatric, stroke, and general medical cases
- Triage using ESI
- Assess patients and identify immediate needs
- IV placement
- Cardiac monitoring
- Blood draws
- Medication administration
- Trauma resuscitation
- Codes
- Patient teaching
Schedule and Work Conditions
- No call required
- Does not require working alone
- No floating to other units or departments
- May be called off or canceled up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment
Training
- First day with educator
- Preceptor support on the unit
- Training schedule based on availability
