Description
Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: Haverhill, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temp
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience in a Long Term Care or Rehabilitation setting
Role Summary
- Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care
- Develops and adjusts plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Performs rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, supportive and assistive devices, and wound care
- Communicates patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the supervisor and other health team members
- Documents required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records
- Records treatment minutes and provides discharge summaries
- Participates in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
- Obtains necessary DME or supplies
- May supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
Practice Standards
- Must adhere to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
