Description
Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Westwood, New Jersey
- 36 hours per week, night shift
- 1st time travelers accepted
- Every other weekend
- General medical/surgical unit caring for Stroke/TIA, UTI, sepsis, pneumonia, isolation patients, and patients with weakness/unsteady gait
- Locals within 50 miles are not accepted
- Scrub color: navy top and bottom
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Drivers License/State ID
- E-Verify
- 7-year background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- Education verification
- State license verification
- NURSYS verification
- Color blind testing
- Competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Clear headshot for badge
- Signed fingerprint consent form
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire within 90 days of start if TB results are positive
- Rubeola immunity or vaccination documentation
- Mumps immunity or vaccination documentation
- Rubella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Hepatitis B immunity, series, or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
