Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: Mound City, Missouri
Employment Type: Temp
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Day: 8
Overview
Physical Therapist (PT) role providing evaluation, rehabilitation, treatment planning, documentation, and discharge planning for patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Missouri
- 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience in a Long Term Care or Rehabilitation setting
Preferred / Additional Notes
- New grads are okay if they have Level II experience; Level I observation experience alone is not sufficient
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients
- Develop and adjust plans of care
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Provide manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, supportive and assistive devices, and wound care
- Document treatment and required clinical information in the electronic documentation system
- Record treatment minutes
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
- Obtain necessary DME or supplies
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
- Communicate with supervisor, team members, patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
- Provide consultation, counseling, and discharge summaries
