Description
RN L&D
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Labor and Delivery/OBED-707
- Location: Womens Hospital, Floor 1&2
- 36 hours per week
- 7P-7A shift
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Details
- 23 beds
- Floating within womens: PP/Ante
- On-call requirement: 1 shift every 4 weeks
- Requested time off must be approved by the facility; if approved, the candidate must work three shifts those weeks, plus 2 major winter holidays and 1 minor winter holiday
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year or more of total travel experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with High Risk patients
Preferred Qualifications
- OBED experience
- High Risk/High volume experience
Clinical Responsibilities
- All high risk OB care
- Magnesium drips
- Insulin drips
- Circulate
- Scrub
Team / Work Environment
- Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 2 CST, 3 OR, and 3 RNs, plus 1 secretary
- Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, and 1 secretary
- Patient ratio: 2:1
