MS/Tele Float
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Huntington, West Virginia
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
- 36 hours per week
- Short Term Acute Care hospital
- Major Teaching Hospital; member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- Level II Trauma
- 330 staffed beds
- Charting system: Cerner
- Free parking for travelers; parking lot and parking garage available
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in West Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Float (2 years of experience)
- Float experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- State license verification required
- NURSYS verification required for RNs
- NIH Stroke Certification required for all RNs and LPN/LVNs
- CPI required for ICU
- Government-issued photo ID
- 7-year criminal background check
- Background check within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable
- Physical exam attesting to ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Fit mask / onsite fit testing
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
- Rubeola (Measles) positive titer
- Mumps positive titer
- Rubella positive titer
- Hepatitis B surface antibody and antigen titer within 6 months of start, with vaccination series or declination documentation
- Varicella positive titer
- Hepatitis A total antibody within 6 months
- Hepatitis C antibody within 6 months
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Proof of 2 clinical references
- Employment application / resume

- Orientation and annual education attestation
- Confidentiality agreement
- User ID and IT access agreement
- MyADP new account creation before start
- TB screening questionnaire
- COVID declination form if not providing proof of COVID vaccination or updated 2023–2024 COVID vaccines
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
- Religious or medical exemption forms if requesting exemption
- N95 fit test completed onsite at orientation
- Clean-shaven for male candidates for respiratory fit test

Additional Notes
- Scrubs: Hunter Green Scrubs; may wear a Cabell T-Shirt instead of scrub top; must change into Surgery scrubs when reporting to Surgery, and those are provided
- Facility modules are assigned in HealthStream before start and must be completed within a week of start
- Hepatitis B declination form is required if declining Hepatitis B vaccination
- Approved flu exemptions require masking during flu season
- Housing/lodging not mentioned
