Description
ICU RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Towson, Maryland
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12, 19:00-07:30
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required as scheduled
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Intermediate Care experience
Unit Details
- ICU patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Unit cares for MICU, SICU surgical abdominal, neuro cervical spines, post-ops, cardiac medical, MI, chest pain, pneumonia, vents, sepsis, ARDS, cardiogenic shock, OD, and post-cath patients
- No traumas
- Unit uses pressors and sedation medications
- Equipment includes vents, CRRT Next Stage, IABP, and proning
Floating
- May float to IMC, CSU, and lower-acuity specialty areas as needed
Preferred
- Experience with CRRT Next Stage
- Experience with proning
