Diagnostic Imaging Tech
Overview
- Contract role in State College, Pennsylvania.
- Day shift weekdays; every 3rd weekend evening shift.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
- 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- ARRT (R).
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a specialized training program in radiological technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience performing radiological procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physicians office.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and respond to patient questions.
- Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Use CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely and efficiently.
- Assist the Radiologist and/or Fluoro Tech during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations.
- Move portable radiographic equipment for procedures in the Emergency Dept., Operating Room, PACU, and Nursing departments.
- Use proper sterile technique during examinations in the operating room and for various procedures within the Radiology department.
- Prepare IV and Oral contrast media and administer contrast media as needed.
- Document patient symptoms, history, imaging limitations, date, time of study, and technologist initials in PACS.
- Perform clerical duties, including workflow monitoring, office support, and quality assurance duties.
