Description

ICU Nurse

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse
  • Location: San Angelo, Texas
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Hours per week: 48 preferred
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Start timeframe: Within the next 3–5 weeks
  • Unit coverage: ICU, with possible floating to progressive care and medical-surgical units

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
  • Med Surg experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS

Additional Notes

  • May consider 36/48 alternating schedule
  • PALS is required for longer-term ICU assignments and may be obtained within 1 year
  • TNCC is required for ER and may be obtained within 1 year for longer-term ICU assignments
  • NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, and other listed certifications are required only if applicable to the assignment
  • Pass/fail testing is completed during orientation
  • Candidate must complete required pre-start forms and health documentation before start
