Occupational Therapy Assistant
Location: Potosi, Missouri
Employment Type: Temp
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (1 year of experience)
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
- COTA
- Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting
- Experience in a(n) Rehabilitation setting
Role Overview
- Provides rehabilitative treatment under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Uses evidence-based practice and may perform ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive or assistive devices
- Assesses patient progress, communicates treatment updates, and documents required clinical information
- Participates in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
- May help obtain necessary DME or supplies and support students under Occupational Therapist guidance
