Physical Therapist Travel Job

Location

  • Waycross, Georgia

Job Type

  • Travel
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week

Contract Length

  • 12 weeks

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
  • No weekends
  • No on-call days

Setting

  • Inpatient rehab therapy

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Georgia
  • Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
  • Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS

Preferred Experience

  • Inpatient rehab experience
  • Acute care rehab experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations
  • Supervise PTAs per APTA standards
  • Provide gait training, therapeutic exercise, ADLs, CARE assessments, and FIM assessments

Unit Details

  • 10 beds
  • 6 staff members
  • Typical staffing includes OT, COTA, PTA, and PT
  • Patient ratio is 1 therapist to 4 patients
  • Standard therapy gym equipment is used
  • Documentation is on paper; Meditech is used for billing only

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced
  • Flexible and outgoing personality preferred
  • Ability to build rapport with patients quickly

Dress Code

  • Navy blue scrubs
