Description

RN - PACU

Job Overview

  • Travel assignment in Denver, Colorado
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract
  • Seasonal role
  • Shift: 3:30 PM to 4:00 AM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Critical Care experience

Unit Details

  • PACU with pre-op and recovery for patients receiving anesthesia
  • High neuro volume, including stroke patients
  • Also handles interventional radiology, TAVR, critical care overflow, spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases
  • Patient ratio is typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with same-day surgery patients up to 3
  • Staffed per ASPAN standards
