Description
Cardiac Tele
Overview
- Travel/Contract RN role in Bel Air, Maryland
- 18-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required as scheduled
- Floating required within the specialty to lower acuity areas as needed
- On-call not required
Unit Details
- 3W Cardiac Tele
- Average daily census: 25
- 22/30 rooms/beds
- Adult patients
- Telemetry patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, primary stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac Cath patients
- Remote telemetry monitoring via Hicuity System
- Specialty drips include Cardizem (non-titratable), Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix
- Special equipment includes Zebra portable phones, Alaris IV pumps, and Coviden Feeding Pump
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- 1 year of telemetry experience
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- NIHSS
Additional Requirements
- Two supervisory references required within 1 year of start
- Employment application/resume must have been completed within 30 days of start
- Previous 5 years of employment history verification required
- Background check required, including a 7-year criminal search
- Maryland State Exclusions List search required within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Education verification required for highest level of education
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Negative TB or chest X-ray required
- Drug screen required within 30 days prior to start
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required for the 2026-27 season
- Tdap required within 10 years of start
- Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella documentation required
- Two professional references required within 1 year prior to start
- Photo for badge required
- Confidentiality, dress code, appearance, parking, vehicle registration, self-learning, standards of conduct, agency acknowledgement, fingernail hygiene, OSHA questionnaire, unit job description, and RN job description documents must be completed or reviewed as assigned
