Description
X-Ray / Mammography Technologist
Assignment Overview
- Temp assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
- 13-week contract
- Day shift, 8 hours per day
- Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
- Traveler must work the posted schedule; 10/12-hour shift requests will not be considered
- No schedule accommodations or block scheduling requests
- Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
- Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed
- Traveler must have their own vehicle
- Traveler must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
- 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience
- Radiology Technologist experience
- Active American Heart Association BLS
- Active ARRT (R)
- Active ARRT (M)
- Driver's License
- Current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography
- Skills Checklist Mammography, current to 1 year
- Skills Checklist XRay, current to 1 year
- 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
Preferred
- Meditech Expanse experience
Role Details
- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity
- May be assigned independent responsibilities and may supervise or instruct department personnel
- Responsible for proper patient care, infection control, body substance isolation, and patient confidentiality
- Uses PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR, and PACS applications
- Attends annual mandatory education and maintains department competencies
