Description
MS/Tele RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract RN role in Burlington, North Carolina
- Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Float required across all facilities in the health system
- 13-week contract
- Inpatient stroke/neuro population with multiple comorbidities
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Experience with feeding tube care and management
- Experience accessing ports and blood product administration
- Experience with central line care and management
- Experience with peripheral line care and management
- Experience with PICC line management
- IV insertion skills
- Experience with CVA and nasal cannula
- Experience with isolation precautions
- Experience with wound care and wound vac
- Experience with telemetry remote monitoring
- Experience with Epic
- EPIC pass/fail testing
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Competency exam
