Description

X-Ray Tech

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Columbia, South Carolina
  • Day shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 13-week contract
  • No weekend requirement
  • No on-call requirement
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
  • Local candidates are accepted, subject to radius rule
  • Floating is required to other units/campuses as needed, only to areas the candidate is qualified and trained for

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technician license in South Carolina
  • Radiology Technician experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ARRT (R)
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
  • Experience with the C-arm
  • Experience with fluoroscopic studies such as barium swallow and esophagram
  • Bedside/portable X-ray experience
  • Trauma imaging experience
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic experience

Clinical Skills / Experience

  • Acute care imaging experience, including ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR
  • Bedside/portable X-ray
  • Trauma imaging
  • C-arm procedures
  • Fluoroscopic studies such as barium swallow/esophagram
  • Ability to perform all aspects of X-ray independently
  • Ability to adapt to equipment-specific training as needed

Additional Notes

  • RTO, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission and are only accommodated if approved at booking
  • The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
