Description

Labor and Delivery

Overview

  • Travel/contract RN role in Issaquah, Washington
  • Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
  • 26-week contract
  • Unit has 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
  • Staffing ratio: 1:1–3
  • Float scope includes Post-Partum and possibly L&D at Swedish First Hill

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Washington
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart Stroke Foundation
  • NRP
  • EFM
  • FHM
  • AWHONN Intermediate
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred

  • ACLS

Role Details

  • Labor and Delivery RN
  • Responsibilities include circulate, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk LD
  • Special procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
  • Special equipment/clinical coverage includes attending all deliveries, attending high risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Can request up to 2 major holidays off
  • Travelers are required to work 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve
  • Perm candidates from other Providence facilities outside Swedish are eligible if separated for at least 3 months
