Description

Hospice RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract hospice RN assignment in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
  • Home health/hospice role based in hospice.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Contract length: 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Provides and coordinates home nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies.
  • Directs and supervises Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
  • Home visits are required, with periodic office meetings.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
  • Territory covered: Lebanon/Lancaster.
  • Average patient load: 5–8 patients per day.
  • Productivity expectation: 30 points per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Hospice experience within the last year.
  • One year of hospice experience.
  • Home Health experience.
  • One completed travel assignment.
  • Experience in supervisory roles.
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Driver's License.
  • Experience with Homecare Homebase.
  • Experience with OASIS.

Schedule Notes

  • Weekend requirement varies by location and profession.
  • On-call requirement varies by location and profession.
  • Some positions in the western territory may use a Baylor shift schedule of 4x10s Friday–Monday; most are standard 5x8s Monday–Friday.
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.

Additional Notes

  • Guaranteed hours: No.
  • Charting retraining may be required if HomeCare HomeBase was not used within the last 6 months.
  • RNs are required to be proficient in Oasis if applicable to the assignment.
  • Scrubs are the dress code.
