Description
Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
Overview
- Temp contract in Des Moines, Iowa
- Nights shift
- 13 weeks
- Float across all campuses
- Unit cares for Pulmonary / Med Surg patients
- Bed size: 23
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-6
- Uses EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- Experience working with Pulmonology patients
- Experience in Charge roles
- Driver's License
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience caring for Pulmonary / Ventilated patients on bi-pap and trach care
- Level I trauma experience
Scheduling / Assignment Notes
- No locals within 50 miles of the facility
- Contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
- Will accept first-time travelers if the 2+ year Med Surg experience requirement is met
- May care for COVID+ patients
