Description
OT Inpatient
Role
OT professionals are given privileges within the medical center and must go through client credentialing before starting.
Contract Length
13 weeks
Location
Marshfield, Wisconsin
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA)
- Wisconsin state license
- Must complete all onboarding by the 2nd Monday of the month to avoid a delayed start
- Must note in submission if the clinician has ever worked for the facility; if previously worked there, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission
- Must clock in and out at the facility
Clinical Setting
- Adult and pediatric acute inpatient
- Adult and pediatric ICUs
- Adult and pediatric acute inpatient rehab
- Level 2 pediatric and adult trauma center
- Primary stroke center
- Same day discharge joint program
- Trauma, neuro, ortho, general med surg., oncology
- Peds inpatient rehab program
- Adult inpatient rehab program
- Stroke specialty program
Patient Volume
- Approximately 120–150 patients per day across the department
- About 9 evaluations per day per therapist
- About 16 treatments per day per therapist
Responsibilities
- ADL evaluation
- Documentation justifying next level of care
Scheduling
- Day shift, variable
- 8-hour days
- 40 hours per week
- Self-scheduling is not allowed
- Works weekends and holidays in rotation with core staff
Weekend and Holiday Requirements
- Weekends required
- Holidays required
- Comp days are scheduled
Preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility
- Strong teamwork skills
Additional Notes
- All of the listed areas may need to be covered
- Department orientation varies based on skill
- Scrub color: any solid color, clean and professional
- The onboarding process can take up to 2 months or longer
