Cath Lab Tech
Overview
- Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts per week, plus call; 5 eight-hour shifts may be considered
- Hours per day: 10
- Hours per week: 40
Department / Setting
- Cath Lab Tech department
- 7 rooms total: 4 Cath Lab/EP and 3 IR/Vascular
- Average daily volume: 20+ cases across all rooms
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- RCIS
- Experience managing radiation dose and imaging angles
- Experience with hemodynamics monitoring and troubleshooting
Preferred
- Specific experience depends on where the clinician will be utilized
Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup
- Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoro and hemodynamics monitoring
- Pull supplies, set up sterile table, scrub in, and assist physicians with procedures
- Assist with device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment
- Manage radiation dose and imaging angles
- Clean, restock, perform room turnover, and sheath removals

Call / Scheduling
- Weeknight and weekend call rotation
- Approximate call frequency: once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends
- Holiday call may be required
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Orientation includes 2–3 full days of training/shadowing and buddy call
- No call during the first week; second week is on call with a buddy, then independently
Floating
- Hybrid for vascular cases
Additional Notes
- Provided scrubs; own scrub caps allowed
- Clinician must clock in and out at the facility
- Previous employees from this facility are not accepted
- If the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield, they must have an end date at least 6 months before submission
