Description
Dialysis RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Greensboro, North Carolina
- 3x12s, Nights, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
- Rotating weekends
- Float required between 3 campuses
- Call required on Sunday nights only
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit / Department
- Hemodialysis Department
- 9 bays and 1 isolation room for known Hep B patients
- Equipped for telemetry monitoring
- Provides hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments 24/7
Patient Population
- End stage renal disease
- Acute kidney injury
- Metabolic imbalances
- Dialysis access problems
- Drug overdoses requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis
- Acutely ill medical-surgical or critical care patients
- Apheresis patients with neurologic, renal, or hematologic/oncologic diseases
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Dialysis experience within the last year
- 1 year of dialysis experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- TNCC may be preferred for certain units
- CPI may be preferred for certain units
Clinical Notes
- Cardiac monitoring is provided for patients on telemetry or those requiring surveillance during treatments
- Hemodynamically unstable ICU patients are treated in their room at bedside
- Peritoneal dialysis is performed in the patient’s room
