RN - MS/Tele
Overview
- Role: RN- MS/Tele (ACE Unit-Acute Care for the Elderly)
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Location: Columbia, South Carolina
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- Hours per week: 36
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Locals: Accepted within radius rule
- Pending license: Not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- Central/peripheral/PICC line management
- Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
- Remote telemetry monitoring
- Heparin protocols
- Proficient in geriatric-focused care
- Experience with Epic
Unit Details
- ACE unit has 26 beds
- Provides telemetry-capable care for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older
- Patient ratio: 1:5
Floating
- May float to other units or campuses as needed
- Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies
Additional Notes
- RTO, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission and are subject to facility approval at booking
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
