Description
PT Inpatient Rehab
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Rome, New York.
- Day shift: 4x8 hours, 8:00–16:00.
- 32 hours per week.
- 26–52 week contract.
- In-person interview required at 3 PM Monday–Friday.
- Assignment is based in a medium security facility; the RMU is a maximum security center within the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in New York.
- Must clear the state-run Criminal History Form before starting.
- Fingerprinting must be completed at orientation on the first day.
- Competency Exam required for all candidates.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- 2 references required.
- 5-year work history verification required.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 12 months prior to start.
- 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start.
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella documentation or titers required.
- Flu vaccination documentation or declination required.
- New York State criminal background check fingerprint results required.
- New York State DCJS Criminal History Request Form required.
- New York Sex Offender Registry search results required within 6 months prior to start.
Duties
- Independently administers Physical Therapy and provides treatment services to individuals with more complicated therapy needs.
- Collaborates with the Director of RMU, Nursing Director, FHSD, and medical staff.
- Attends bi-weekly care conference.
Additional Notes
- Candidate should bring a driver’s license on the first day.
- Work attire: comfortable shoes; scrub color does not matter.
- No cellphones, purses, metal, dark green, or camouflage clothing are allowed.
- Lunch may be brought in; a clear bag will be provided.
