Respiratory Therapist - Nights
Overview
- Role: Respiratory Therapist - Nights
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

- Shift: Night (3x12 Hours), 19:00–7:00
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule notes: Every other weekend; 3 on-call shifts per schedule
- Unit notes: Unit accepts 1st time travelers
- Local candidate restriction: 50-mile radius rule; no local candidates
Required Qualifications
- Certifications: Valid BLS issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, RQI, or American Safety and Health Institute
- License/verification: Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
- Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist with 1 year of experience and experience within the last year
- Experience verification: 7 Year Work History Verification required for all candidates; for New Jersey placements, at least 1 year prior to the start date must be verified, with only 30-day gaps or less
- Education verification: Highest level of education must be verified
- Background checks: 7 Year Background Check required within 1 year of start; includes SS Trace, county searches for the last 7 years of locations lived/worked/in school, nationwide search, sex offender search, and education verification
- Other required documents/tests: Drivers License/State ID; E-Verify; clear headshot for badge; complete application/resume; unit-specific skills checklist; color blind testing; competency exam; medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Health requirements: Physical exam within 12 months of start; fit test within 1 year of start; Tdap within 10 years of start; negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Additional compliance items: EPLS/GSA/SAM; HHS/OIG; fingerprinting; orientation safety manual acknowledgement; work history verification
