Description

RN ICU

Overview

  • Travel assignment in Hendersonville, Tennessee
  • Critical Care Unit (CCU)
  • 20 beds
  • 2:1 patient ratio for CCU patients
  • 36 hours/week
  • Weekends only: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
  • Floating: contract labor floats before core staff

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Tennessee
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIH Certification
  • Experience with Meditech
  • Experience with arterial lines
  • Experience with venous/arterial sheaths
  • Ability to manage cardiovascular & vasopressor drips
  • Experience with ventilator management
  • Experience with bedside central line placement
  • Experience with massive transfusion protocol (MTP)

Unit Details

  • Unit secretary on days and nights
  • Occasional tech help
  • Equipment includes GE monitors, Alaris pumps, and Puritan Bennet ventilators
  • Procedures performed include bedside central line placement and massive transfusion protocol
  • Advanced skills needed: arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular and vasopressor drips, ventilated patients

Additional Notes

  • Dress code: black scrubs
  • Highest level of care unit in Sumner county
  • GE monitor upgrade
  • Flexible schedule
