Description
Med Surg RN
Overview
- Temp Registered Nurse (RN) role in Des Moines, Iowa.
- Nights shift.
- 13-week contract.
- Unit has 30 beds.
- Patient ratio is 1:4-5.
- Patient types include hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries.
- Drips used on the unit include PCA and Heparin.
- Traveler will float across all campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of Med Surg experience in an Acute Care setting within the last year.
- Experience with cardiac or critical care drips.
- Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications.
- Experience with Epic.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-op surgical experience.
- Patient care experience with hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries.
- Professional reference/reference check from within the last 24 months.
Additional Details
- Will take a first-time traveler.
- Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
