Mammography Tech

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Day shift: 5x8s, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
  • Average daily census: 20
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Resource will be expected to work at Ochsner Imagine Center
  • Satellite clinic: Ochsner Imaging Center, 1601 Jefferson Hwy, Jefferson, LA 70121

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in Louisiana
  • Mammography Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ARRT (R)

Schedule / Availability

  • Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
  • May be assigned to an Emergency Team during an emergency event and expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team

Additional Compliance Items

  • Current/valid Driver’s License, State ID, or government photo ID required
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
  • Physical exam required within 12 months of start and must indicate good physical health
  • Fit testing required within one year prior to start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 12 months of start
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/vaccination documentation required
  • Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
  • Resume/application required
  • Skills checklist required
