Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

  • Provide specialized and innovative care in the Emergency Department.
  • Handle a variety of emergency situations for patients of all ages.
  • Quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with physical and mental health conditions.
  • Prioritize injuries and medical needs effectively.
  • Manage trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 18 months of nursing experience in an ED environment.
  • Recent ED experience within the past six months.
  • Demonstrated clinical performance and practice.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
  • Telemetry certification.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
  • CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours).
